     Individual Therapies

We currently provide Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Therapy, using a mixed Verbal Behavior format. Below is a list of the current services we provide, in detail.

Assessment of Basic Language and Learning Programming

An Assessment of Basic Language and Learning Skills is completed initally. This assesses a child's strengths and weaknesses. From this, programming is developed addressing a child's weaknesses while utilizing their strengths. The ABLLS, program development and a training session is included in an initial package. Please call or email for rates.

Home Programming is based on the ABLLS assessment and it is used as a guide for further programming. Each program is individualized and custom tailored to each child and family's needs. We strive to incorporate family's concerns and priorities in programming, making them an integral part of the therapeutic process. We will train parents who want to implement discrete trials, but it is not expected. Parents are expected to be a support to the behavior programming and their follow through is crucial to any success. Each child's program is progressed based on their acquisition of new skills.

2-day Potty Training Jump Start

We have found that many families have difficulty implementing intensive toileting routines and schedules when beginning to teach potty training. For two 6 hour days one of our trained therapists will come to your home to ensure that your individualized potty protocal is being run effectively and smoothly. This will allow parents and siblings to continue with their daily routines. Upon completion of the 2-day potty jump start, parents and caregivers are expected to follow through with a less structured program to ensure consistency and follow through for success.

Clinical Services

ABC Services, LLC offers 1:1 ABA therapy in a "clinical" setting. The difference between this and having home programming is that the purchase of supplies is not the responsibility of the parent. Families also don't have a variety of people coming and going through their house all of the time. The option of having therapy at a "clinical" location lessens the burden on families and gives them another choice in getting therapy for their child. Parents can drop their child off at the location of therapy for a minimum of 2 hour blocks.  They will receive a mixed verbal behavior format of ABA therapy. With clinical, home and group therapies a comprehensive, individualized program can be tailored for your child.

Group Therapies

Social Skills- Social Skills groups meet twice per week for two hour blocks to focus on appropriate play skills, social interaction with peer models and following group instruction. In this model children rotate to various centers with their peer models to participate a wide variety of play based activities. ABA trained therapists help facilitate social interaction. Individuals goals are based on an initial evaluation, completed in the first week. Daily evaluations are provided, evaluating progress and assessing future goals. Two sessions will run in Summer 2008.

Speech Therapy

We currently provide individual and group speech therapies. These are available two days a week and there is currently a wait list. Beginning January 1, 2010 we will increase to three days per week. Services can be billed through insurance and we are currently in network providers for TriCare and Blue Cross Blue Shield.

Learning in Focused Environments (L.I.F.E)

Currently ABC Services offers an alternate school option. This option offers 3 or 5 day options incorporating ABA, Speech, Art, and Music Therapy. Children attend a classroom setting to target skills in a group environment, social skills and incidental learning. Groups never exceed 1:3 ratios. Alternating days and after program services include direct 1:1 to target specific skills in more individual settings. Every child has an Individualized Education Plan that is targeted throughout the classroom and in alternate environments. We also have peer models for some classes. Check back frequently for more information... this is a work in progress!! And is exciting for the Autism community of Middle Tennessee!
